Faruq Ahmad,  Founding Partner

Mr. Ahmad's extensive experience allows him to develop and effectively assess strategic direction, set goals, determine execution strategies and execute on the resulting plan.  This could be with a start-up, a corporate spinout or strategic initiative, a growth stage company, a turn-around or restructuring or other special situation. He is effective in playing multiple roles to help create success. He is a mentor at TiE Launchpad and Blue Startups, and connected with other accelerators and innovation centers.

Mr. Ahmad is Advisor to Correlation Ventures, a firm that focuses exclusively on efficiently providing capital to venture backed companies. Through the use of sophisticated analytics, Correlation is able to respond rapidly to provide capital behind a lead VC, in full alignment with negotiated terms and without a Board seat.

Mr. Ahmad is an MIT-EE graduate with a Stanford MS in computer systems and a Stanford MBA. He has over two decades of experience with technology companies, including a decade of experience in venture capital. He has worked in change-management roles with large established companies, has taken a venture-backed startup to successful exit, and invested venture capital in Silicon Valley and Asia.

Mr. Ahmad was part of the founding management team of two startup software companies, one in tools and one in mobile applications. His semiconductor experience includes managing Intel's telephony chipset and investing in and serving on the Boards of advanced architecture startups.  His communications industry experience includes management positions with Sprint and AT&T. His projects have ranged from biofuels to advertising to medical devices to retail. His broad experience allows him to quickly come up to speed in a new area.
